error in quiz

there seems to be an error in the quiz, lowering the threshold on a gate will let more signal though (as it takes less level to open the gate), however the opposite answer is presented as correct!

I think in the same way as

I think in the same way as aski. Lower threshold implies less signal level needed to open the gate, so more signal passing.

I will throw in my agreement vote on this question also. A low Threshold setting lets more signal through. But the quiz 'Correct Answer' indicates the opposite.

Please add 1 to all our results for this quiz as well as correcting the quiz.

By definition, a noise gate shuts off the signal when the signal goes *below* the threshold, therefore the lower the threshold, the more signal passes through. If the threshold is so low that it's always below the level of the signal, the signal will pass through unaffected. If the
threshold is so high that the signal never reaches the threshold, the signal will be completely
attenuated.
